Expertise: Sports Cars, Race Cars, 1950s/60s American Cars
Born in 1960 in Wareham, Mass., Tim Suddard grew up the son and grandson of a Ford dealer. He began restoring cars at the age of 14 and still has the first car he ever restored – a 1929 Ford that his grandfather had sold brand new. After graduating Stetson University in 1982, he started Grassroots Motorsports, a magazine geared towards regular people who enjoyed fixing up readily available sports cars. This success led to the formation of Classic Motorsports, which has become America’s largest publication for classic sports car enthusiasts. Suddard lives with his wife and partner, Marjorie, in Ormond Beach, Florida. Their two (now grown) children also work in the business.
